The Final Essay

Today, South Central has been through a lot of things. There has been riots, burning buildings, deaths, and lot of people injured. I will be writing some negatives and some positives things about South Central. Some negatives things about South Central is that today there is still graffiti. Crips, Bloods, 18st., etc still exsist. there are still people who moves because of there fear with roits. Some positives things about South Central is that homes are being more protective and less crime and less riots. I guess. The three events that have had the greatest impact are Watts Riots, LA Riots. and Crack Epidemic.

The first event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is Watts Riots. Watts Riots began on the evening of August 11,1965. It all started because of a man named Marquette Frye. According to the essay, Marquette failed a sobriety test and the white officer told him he would be arrested for drunk and that his car would be towed. Marquette was mad and he refused to listen to the officer. This is how the Watts Riots started. It ended by the national guard. It changed South Central because today white officer don’t treat black people wrong and they dont just put someone to jail just because.

the second event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is The LA riots. The LA riots started because of the beating of Rodney King by four officers followed by the murder of Latasha Harlins. Rodney beating lasted for like about  15 minutes, resulting in skill fractures, broken bones and teeth, and permanent brain damage. It ended by the national gurad has well. It changed South Central because today there is a lot of officers who do their job the right way and they dont beat up supposely criminals.

the third event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is Cack Epidemic. Crack Epidemic is about that people from other countries brought crack to the U.S. so that they can sell it to buy weapons for a war. Many people did buy it and they started to get addicted to it. this lead to a lot of families being broken down and it lead to a lot people getting on crack. it changed South Central  today because even though people still sell it and people still buy it they know that they will end up in jail. And yes, there is still families breaking down cause of it.

in conclusion, watts riot, LA riot, and crack epidemic are the three events that have had the greatest impact in South Central. Because South Central is a whole different story related to the past thanks to these three events. i think South Central will changed in the future because i know God will help it and it will make it to a better place. Also, i think it will changed because many people are looking for jobs and there is no problem right now. i guess..
